Terms and Conditions

The Company:

Menopause Support Community Interest Company ("MSC" or "we") is registered in England and Wales with limited liability under number 6963519. Its registered office is at 39 Strand, Exeter EX3 0AY. It is an independent not-for-profit social enterprise and we have no association or connection with the website menopausesupport.co.uk.

Contracts:

If you place an order for the purchase of any of our goods, a place on one of our courses or a telephone advice session, there will be a contract between you and MSC once we confirm your order by e-mail. That contract will be deemed to exist and your notice of it will be deemed received at the time when we send the confirmatory e-mail, regardless of whether, for reasons outside our or your control, you do not actually receive that e-mail.

Geographic Limits:

MSC does not accept any orders from or enter into any contracts with anybody living outside the European Union, Norway or Switzerland. No such person may participate in any course or telephone advice session.

Governing Law:

Any contract with MSC shall be deemed to have been concluded in the United Kingdom and shall be governed by the laws of England and you and MSC irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Cancellation:

We reserve the right to cancel or vary any advertised course or telephone advice session for reasons outside our control (including insufficient interest or illness) and, if we do, our liability shall be limited to a full refund of the course or session fee. When you order goods, we will use reasonable endeavours to dispatch them to you within seven working days or, if they are out of stock and we cannot obtain them on reasonable terms, we may cancel the order and, if we do, our liability shall be limited to a full refund of the money you have paid.

Damaged or Faulty Goods:

We will dispatch ordered goods by mail or carrier to the delivery address you have provided and ownership and risk in those goods will be yours from that dispatch. It is your responsibility, therefore, to ensure that the delivery is safely received. Any claims for damaged or faulty goods must be notified to MSC within two working days of delivery and any refund may be subject to the goods being returned to us with the original packaging.

Liability:

The information provided on or through this website, our courses and telephone advice sessions is intended solely to help you identify symptoms and conditions you may be experiencing; MSC does not recommend any specific action, treatment or behaviour and no particular outcome or result is promised or guaranteed. Such information is not intended to be a substitute for taking proper medical advice and should not be relied upon in this way.

You should always consult a qualified doctor, if you have any concern over your condition.

Products are sold for the purposes advertised by their manufacturer and we make no warranty as to their efficacy or quality. To the extent permitted by law, neither MSC nor any director, employee or agent of MSC shall be liable for any damage, death, illness or injury arising out of the content of or participation in any course or telephone advice session run by or for MSC; in connection with the use of or reliance on any product sold by MSC; or any failure to seek medical advice from a doctor.

Third Parties:

Any information provided or views expressed by third parties, whether by postings on this website or via any link, are entirely their own; we do not endorse them; and we accept no responsibility for such information or views and, if you rely on them, you do so entirely at your own risk.

Recording and Publication:

It is a condition of participation in any 'topic talk' telephone advice session that you consent to the session being recorded and published, whether by podcast on MSC's website or otherwise, and it is a condition of participation in any telephone 'workshop' advice session that you consent to the session being recorded and published to the other participants in that group.

Confidentiality in Telephone Workshop:

It is a condition of participation in any telephone 'workshop' advice session that you agree to keep confidential within the group all personal information about any other group member and that you will keep confidential any recording of the group advice session and not play or pass on any recording to any other person or otherwise publish it outside the group.
