Zinc (50mg) as citrate
The refining of cereal grains, a major dietary staple in the UK, has been shown to remove up to 90% of the available zinc content of these foodstuffs. This is likely to be one of the reasons why one in three adults in the UK fails to consume sufficient dietary zinc.
Zinc is important for a healthy immune system as well as the maintenance of a healthy skin and a good complexion. It is a component of many enzymes and is a constituent of insulin. Zinc is also important for reproductive health.
This product supplies zinc in citrate form for maximum absorption. Each capsule provides 50mg of zinc as a cream powder in a clear hard shell capsule (gelatin free).
Caution: long term intake of this level of zinc (i.e. more than 25mg per day) may cause anaemia.
