Wellbeing of Women

Susanne’s blog

I originally set up Menopause Support to pass on information and experiences I gathered through my tricky menopause. If you want my ideas, tips and products to help you with your symptoms, or if you want to know more about the latest menopause research then read my blog. I?d love to hear your feedback so please post a comment at the bottom of the page!

Wellbeing of Women

10. September 2010 09:46

During a recent Google search I came across this great charity ‘Wellbeing of Women’ which since the 1960s has been raising funds for medical research and training specialist doctors and nurses to improve women’s health.

I particularly liked their section on women’s health education – they believe ‘the more you know the better you’ll be’ and provide health information to women to better inform them about their bodies and to encourage them to take responsibility for their reproductive and gynaecological health.

The quote really resonates with me – it’s exactly what we’re doing here at Menopause Support – giving you the information so that you make the right decision for you on how to live through your menopause.  Every menopause experience is unique and the way you approach it is a totally personal one.

Getting good quality information and advice that you can trust is the way forward. At Menopause Support we are totally independent – we only promote organisations, products and information that we have researched and genuinely believe will be of benefit to you.

In this vein, I thought you might like to know that Wellbeing of Women are running a Healthy Woman Symposium on next Saturday, 18th September in the morning at The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, 27 Sussex Place, London NW1 4SP.  Tickets are only £5 for the event and a further £1 for each of the talks – good value considering the calibre of the speakers.  Go to www.wellbeingofwomen.com for more information. Do tell me what it’s like if you go.
